Provided is a medical device capable of acquiring image information for which exchanging of the guide wire during a procedure is easy and in which contrast media, drugs, etc. can be infused into a living body via the guide wire lumen. The medical device (1), which has an imaging function, comprises: a shaft body section (22) wherein an image lumen (25) and a guide wire lumen (26) are formed with a double lumen structure from the tip to the base end, with the base end section of the shaft body section (22) branching into a first shaft base end section (222) in which the image lumen (25) is disposed and a second shaft base end section (223) in which the guide wire lumen (26); a shaft tip section (21) wherein a common lumen structure in which the image lumen (25) and the guide wire lumen (26) merge is formed in the leading end section; a first hub section (51) connected to the first shaft base end section (222); a second hub section (52) connected to the second shaft base end section (223); a hub casing (53) for covering the first shaft base end section (222), the second shaft base end section (223), the first hub section (51) and the second hub section (52); and a transducer unit (41) capable of moving inside the common lumen (27). |
