The present invention relates to a hook movement control apparatus of a crane. The hook movement control apparatus includes: a hook; a connection block connected to the hook; a plurality of booms which can be extended; a wire connected from a start end of boom to the connection block, an input part receiving an input signal for the horizontal or vertical movement of the hook on the basis of the ground; a driving part adjusting the length of the wire according to the extension of the boom and rotating the boom; a distance measurement part measuring the length of the wire and a distance from an end of the boom to the ground; an angle measurement part measuring an angle of the boom of the crane; and a control part receiving measurement values from the distance measurement part and the angle measurement part to control the driving part to allow the hook to move in horizontal or vertical directions when the input signal is inputted. Thus, the worker may easily perform his work, and the hook movement control apparatus may minimize the oscillation of the salvage object to move the object safely.
