The present invention relates to a manufacturing method of a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin film, and to a manufacturing method of a polarizing film using the polyvinyl alcohol-based resin film obtained by using the manufacturing method. More particularly, the manufacturing method of the polyvinyl alcohol-based resin film comprises a drying process of removing water from an aqueous solution which contains a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin, and has the water content greater than 30 wt%. When the aqueous solution contains 30 wt% of water, a speed of removing water during the drying process is 0.01-1.8 wt%/second. When used as a polarizing film, the polyvinyl alcohol-based resin film exhibits a high polarizing performance.
