PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive device for controlling the shape of metal strips which can adapt to meandering or width change of the metal strips. SOLUTION: The device is equipped with first and second electromagnetic devices 5 positioned at two sites, sandwiching the center of the strip, on the strip surface side of the metal strip 1 without contacting it, and a control unit 3 controlling the first and second electromagnetic devices to reduce the warping of the metal strip. Here, the metal strip 1 has a projection near its center.
