<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decide what attributes of image is affecting the fact that the charge amount is high. <P>SOLUTION: With regard to image data of an image of a document read by a scanner and stored in a frame memory, a digital copy machine determines the attribute (image size, monochromatic/color and resolution) of an image that affects the capacity of the image data (steps S5-S7).
