<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular hood device capable of preventing a pedestrian from being fallen in front of a vehicle from a hood in collision of the vehicle with the pedestrian. <P>SOLUTION: In Step S1, it is determined whether or not a collision of a vehicle with a pedestrian is predicted or detected. If the result of determination in Step S1 is YES, the program advances to Step S2 to make a striker lock release part in a released state. In Step S3, right and left pop-up driving units are upwardly operated. In Step S4, it is determined whether or not the collision of the pedestrian with a hood is detected. If the result of determination in Step S4 is YES, the program advances to Step S5, and the operational speed of the right and left pop-up driving units is changed.
