<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a showcase which can illuminate a display article according to the display article. <P>SOLUTION: The showcase comprises a housing part 2 for housing a display article E with outside air shut out of the showcase, and an illumination means 16 for illuminating the display article E housed in the housing part. The illumination means has a light source (for example 20) for emitting light, and a light guide plate 22 for receiving the light from the light source to emit it in plane-shape. A light dispersion part for dispersing the light is formed on the surface of the light guide plate. The light dispersion part has a plurality of incisions 26 formed on the surface of the light guide plate lengthwise and crosswise with a depth up to a specified value. The light dispersion part may be constructed by forming pluralities of bumps and dips 28 on the surface of the light guide plate, or by applying a plurality of reflection dots 30 made of a material low in light absorptance and high in light reflectance to the surface of the light guide plate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
