<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information terminal device which realizes power saving, even when a plurality of read means start simultaneously. <P>SOLUTION: The information terminal device comprises a first read unit and a second read unit as reading means for performing read processing, based on a response from an information medium with predetermined information recorded thereon and a control unit for allowing the first read unit and the second read unit to perform power saving drive, during a response detection period for detecting the response from the information medium, using the first read unit or the second read unit. The control unit makes a read means that detects the response from the information medium drive completely, after the response detection period and stops the other read means, so that power consumption can be reduced in the information terminal device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
