An electronic paper display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to prevent charged particles that are filled in cells formed in a lattice pattern from sticking to an adhesive material by attaching an upper panel to a lower panel using vacuum. A sidewall(124) is disposed such that it is separated from an edge of a lower panel(120). A sealing member(130) is disposed at an edge of the lower panel and is separated from the sidewall by a predetermined distance. An upper panel(110) is disposed so as to face the lower panel. The sealing member is interposed between the upper and lower panels. A drain port(134) is formed in a region of the upper panel corresponding to a space between the sidewall and the sealing member. The sealing member is formed of one of a resin, a nonmetal, and a metal. |
