PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate gauge replacement work periodically performed in a gauge press. SOLUTION: In the gauge press D for elevating and lowering a ram 61 in which a gauge G is set to the gauge setting surface of a lower surface 61a and boring a pilot hole H<SB>0</SB>under a spike on a Pachinko face plate T temporarily stopped in the middle of transfer, the gauge attaching and device comprises a gauge carry-in and carry-out device B disposed at the side part of the press D for carrying in and carrying out the gauge G between the side part of the ram 61 and the right below of the ram 61 and an electromagnet M disposed inside the ram 61. The gauge support frame F of the gauge carry-in and carry-out device B is arranged right below the gauge setting surface of the ram 61 and the gauge G is attached and detached to/from the gauge setting surface by turning the electromagnet M ON and OFF.
