PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal strip manufacturing method, a grinding belt, and a grinding belt manufacturing method such that the shape of a metal strip can be corrected more easily and the manufacturing cost can be reduced.SOLUTION: A grinding belt 7 is provided with first and second regions 71, 72 which differ in roughness of grinding along a width direction 7a of the grinding belt 7. The first region 71 is pressed against a width-directional intermediate part 11 of a metal strip 1 and the second regions 72 are pressed against width-directional ends 12 of the metal strip 1. When the metal strip 1 has a drum-shaped plate thickness profile, the second regions 72 are made larger in roughness of grinding than the first region 71.
