PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the handlebar operation from being heavy when largely steering a handlebar when a vehicle is traveling at a low speed in a steering damper device in which an inexpensive cylindrical damper having a simple structure is used, less damping force is generated when the handlebar is at a neutral position, and the damping force to be gradually increased according to the steering angle of the handlebar when the handlebar is steered. SOLUTION: A cylindrical damper 10 is arranged between a head pipe 6h for turnably supporting a steering stem 5 of a motorcycle and a fork bridge 4 of a front fork 2 so as to be shortest when a handlebar is at a neutral position. The cylindrical damper 10 generates the damping force when being expanded, and generates less damping force when being contracted.
