PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device reduced in an off-state current in spite of having an extremely simple structure, and provided with thin-film transistors. SOLUTION: This display device includes the thin-film transistors on a substrate. The thin-film transistor is composed of a gate electrode connected to a gate signal line, a semiconductor layer formed by straddling the gate electrode through an insulation film, a drain electrode connected to a drain signal line and formed on the semiconductor layer, a source electrode facing the drain electrode and formed on the semiconductor layer. In a plan view, a side of the drain electrode facing the source electrode is formed without overlapping with the gate electrode, and a side of the source electrode facing the drain electrode is formed without overlapping with the gate electrode.
