PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling storage capable of easily, reliably and inexpensively shutting down operation during a period when the cooling operation is not necessary.SOLUTION: A cooling storage comprises: a storage room 16 capable of storing a cooled object 25; a cooling device 30 to cool inside the storage room 16; setting means 81 to set an operation unnecessary period when the cooled object 25 is not stored in the storage room 16; a timer 51 to count time; and a cooling device control section 52 which shuts down the cooling device 30 while maintaining power supply to the cooling storage 10 when identifying the operation unnecessary period on the basis of time information counted by the timer 51.
