PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with a heat treatment after repairing a surface defect of a casting 1 made of an aluminum alloy by build-up welding.SOLUTION: A recess 4 is formed in order to remove a surface defect on the surface of a casting 1, and heat is inputted by a pulse TIG welder 5, while sending a filler metal 9 made of an aluminum alloy into the recess 4. Hereby, the filler metal 9 is deposited on the recess 4, and build-up welding is performed so that a weld deposit has a state swollen from the surface of the casting, and thereafter, a part swollen from the surface of the casting 1 of the weld deposit is cut.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
