1. A method for mitigating cyber attacks on automotive components in an automobile, comprising:
receiving an unaltered data frame, on a component of an in-vehicle automotive communication system, from a first automotive component of the in-vehicle automotive communication system, the data frame being addressed to a second automotive component of the in-vehicle automotive communication system, the component and the first and second automotive components being fully retained in the automobile, and the in-vehicle automotive communication system including at least the first and second automotive components: analyzing a plurality of features of the data frame to determine whether the data frame affects correct operation of the second automotive component of the in-vehicle automotive communication system; and taking protective action to prevent affecting correct operation of the second automotive component, based on the analyzing. |
