<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of bending a glass plate by which the glass plate is bent to have an excellent complicated or deeply bent shape and an apparatus for the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the apparatus, a preliminarily forming apparatus 60 comprising a ring 64 for preliminary-forming and a mold 72 for preliminary-forming is mounted in the upstream side of a finally forming apparatus 62 comprising ring 84 for finally forming and a mold 88 for finally forming. The glass plate preliminarily formed to have the prescribed shape by a preliminarily forming apparatus 60 is finally formed to have a final bent shape by the finally forming apparatus 62. In the preliminarily forming apparatus 60, the shape of the ring 64 for preliminarily forming and the shape of the forming surface 73 of the mold 72 for preliminarily forming are formed to have a shape specialized for the preliminarily forming to increase the controllability of the forming to prevent the occurrence of optical defects. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
