PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration in productivity and FCOT when an image is copied based on copy control information such as copy inhibition. SOLUTION: In a scanner unit 12, image data for information detection transformed from data read out from a document independently from image data for print out is inputted to a copy control information detecting section 70, a pattern data extracting section 74 extracts pattern data indicative of copy control information and outputs code data according to the pattern data along with a judgment signal. The scanner unit outputs a judgment signal when image data according to the document image is outputted, and switches a select section 90 such that the code data can be outputted when the image data of one page of document is outputted, and outputs the code data in the idle time until the image data of next document is outputted thus enhancing FCOT and productivity when an image is copied based on the copy control information.
