PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent composite sheet with a small coefficient of thermal expansion and excellent in heat resistance, transparency and surface smoothness, and having an extremely small number of projecting defects due to fuzz or the like. SOLUTION: This method for producing the transparent composite sheet composed of a fabric cloth and a thermosetting transparent resin comprises the steps of impregnating the fabric cloth with an impregnating liquid of the thermoplastic transparent resin, pinching the impregnated cloth between a roll and a doctor blade or between doctor blades, and drying and/or curing the impregnated cloth.
