PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod capable of performing a rhythmical and well-modulated handle-operation of its reel and making a fight with a fish more really thrilling. SOLUTION: This fishing rod is provided with that on operating by pulling a reel handle 9A to the front side of the fishing person, a rear grip part 5 is pushed to the abdominal part B of the fishing person and since a reel sheet 4 becomes a state of being pulled towards the root rod end side, the rod body 2 attached with the reel sheet 4 is relatively displaced against the rear grip part 5 by resisting to the energizing force of a coil spring 8 and is displaced to the rod root end side, and on the other hand, on operating by pushing the reel handle 9A to the tip end side of the rod, since the reel sheet 4 becomes a state of being pushed to the rod tip end side together with the energizing force of the coil spring 8, the rod body 2 attached with the reel sheet 4 is relatively displaced against the rear grip part 5 and displaced to the rod tip end side.
