A method for manufacturing a photocatalyst is provided to produce a titanium dioxide photocatalyst sol, thereby improving the catalytic performance of the photocatalyst and effectively removing environmental pollutants. Titanium dioxide particulates are generated by hydrolyzing titanium alkoxide, dissolving the titanium alkoxide using sulfuric acid, and heating the titanium alkoxide liquid. A titanium hydrate is obtained by neutralizing, filtering, and cleaning the titanium alkoxide liquid. A photocatalytic sol is manufactured by dispersing the titanium hydrate in water, adding hydrogen peroxide into the resultant material, and heating the resultant material. |
