The mix sponge cells were progressively treated by differential centrifugation, differential aggregation, differential adherence and density gradient centrifugation, purification carries out according to the properties of sponge cells (size, aggregation ability, adhering pattern and density). The activity of purified archaeocytes was over 95%. Growth factors and differentiation- restraining factors could promote archaeocytes to grow and their differentiation was controlled. This invention could produce bioactive compounds through large-scale archaeocytes culture in vitro, for the biosynthesis of bioactive compounds.
