PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve a problem that there occurs a possibility of reducing a connecting strength due to reaction (i.e. corrosion) among a metalized layer and a brazing material layer and ingredients in the atmosphere when temperatures of the metalized layer and the brazing material layer are excessively increased.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a window member in which a plate-like translucent member is connected to a frame member having, as major ingredient, metal with an inner surface enclosing the side surface of the translucent member. The window member comprises: a metalized layer formed at the side surface of the translucent member, a first metallic layer formed at the surface of the metalized layer and having, as major ingredient, nickel; a second metallic layer formed at the inner surface of the frame member, having nickel as major ingredient and including phosphor or boron; and a brazing layer covering the first metallic layer and the second metallic layer to connect the translucent member with the frame member and having silver as major ingredient.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
