PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat battery high in performance and excellent in reliability, by eliminating unnecessary stress on an electrode plate applied from a separator that is bent together with the electrode plate.SOLUTION: A flat battery has a positive electrode plate 10 and a negative electrode plate 20, each of which has a strip shape and includes an electrode part of an active material layer formed on the surface of a metal foil, and includes a separator 15 enclosing the positive electrode plate 10 or the negative electrode plate 20, while a plurality of layers are formed by winding or bending such that the positive electrode plate 10 and the negative electrode plate 20 face each other and housed in a housing body. In the flat battery, the positive electrode plate 10 is folded back at a coupling part 11 coupling between positive electrode parts 13 adjacent to each other, and the separator 15 is not provided at a position of the inside of a folded back portion at the coupling part 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
