PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfactorily reduce noise from an image generated by imaging.SOLUTION: An image processing unit 104 comprises: processing means which reduces noise from at least a portion of an input image generated by imaging using imaging systems 101 and 102; and acquisition means which acquires first information relating to the optical characteristics of the imaging systems. The processing means changes processing of the noise reduction in accordance with the first information. It is also possible to acquire second information relating to sampling of the imaging systems, and to change the processing of the noise reduction in accordance with the first information and the second information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
