PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of discriminating a background and a foreground in an image or a film of a scene recorded with an electronic camera, and a method of replacing a background in an image or a film in which a scene is recorded while a foreground is maintained.SOLUTION: Between a background and a foreground, a color filter 9 is arranged which radiates only a color that is selected from at least one visible spectral range or at least two visible spectral ranges being separated from each other. A spectral range of the light emitted from the background that passes the color filter 9 is removed or suppressed with the color filter 8, and a visible spectrum of the range is made to pass without suppressing same.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
