PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration actuator in which drive sound is further reduced, and an optical device.SOLUTION: A vibration actuator 10 comprises: a fixed cylinder 11; a vibrating part 20 which is held concentrically to the fixed cylinder 11, includes an electromechanical conversion element 22 and is vibrated by inputting a drive signal to the electromechanical conversion element 22; a relative moving part 40 which is disposed concentrically to the fixed cylinder 11 and is rotated relatively to the vibrating part 20 around an axis of the fixed cylinder 11 by vibrating the vibrating part 20; and a pressurizing part which generates pressure in an axial direction between the vibrating part 20 and the relative moving part 40. The vibration actuator 10 is characterized in that the vibrating part 20 is held while being made movable axially with respect to the fixed cylinder 11 and being regulated in a rotating direction and a radial direction around an axis, and the relative moving part 40 is held to be movable in the axial direction and the rotating direction with respect to the fixed cylinder 11. |
