This bipolar plate for a battery is provided with a positive electrode disposed on a first surface side and a negative electrode disposed on a second surface side, wherein at least one surface among the first surface and the second surface is provided with a flow passage through which an electrolyte solution flows. The flow passage is provided with an introduction port for the electrolyte, a discharge port for the electrolyte, and a groove section which is between the introduction port and the discharge port and guides the electrolyte along a predetermined path. The groove section is provided with a plurality of vertical groove sections extending in the vertical direction and aligned in parallel in the direction orthogonal to the vertical direction when the bipolar plate is disposed at a predetermined position in the battery.
