PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus that is able to improve operability for inputting characters.SOLUTION: An electronic apparatus comprises: a display screen 10 capable of displaying a software key board in which a plurality of character keys are arranged; a touch panel 12 disposed overlapping the display screen and configured to accept input of characters corresponding to the character keys touched by a user; a storage unit 55 storing a first category group containing at least one or more categories associated with input characters; and a control unit 50 configured to acquire the category associated with the input characters from the first category group when a character key is depressed long and display the acquired category in an area in the vicinity of the character keys on the display screen. When the user keeps touching the touch panel and, at the same time, touches the category displayed on the area in the vicinity of the character keys, the control unit performs an operation corresponding to the selected category. |
