PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process cartridge that prevents total exposure of a gear train in a developing device, suppresses fall of a shaft that rotatably holds an idler gear, and suppresses failure in which a gap between an image carrier and a developer carrier shifts from a target value; and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A process cartridge 10 includes a face plate 61 that is formed to cover a gear train in a developing device 13 from an end side in a rotation shaft direction, and further includes a through hole part 61c that is formed on the face plate 61 and through which a shaft 13k of an idler gear 54 in the developing device 13 penetrates in a non-contact manner, so that the shaft 13k of the idler gear 54 is fitted to a positioning hole part formed on an image forming apparatus body. |
