PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer which exhibits favorable effect of suppressing silica scales when used for water treatment or color material dispersing agents.SOLUTION: The polymer is produced by polymerizing monomers, including a vinyllactam monomer as an essential component, in the presence of a polyoxyalkylene compound represented by the specified general formula (1). In the formula, Rrepresents an organic group; Rrepresents a C2-C20 alkylene group; Rrepresents a hydrogen atom or a C1-C20 organic group; m represents a number between 1 and 3, and n represents a number between 1 and 300. |
