PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handover method whereby a terminal can move between base stations without causing communication interruption. SOLUTION: A base station AP1 carries out subscription processing by providing an identification code BSSID different from each terminal STA existing in a wireless network BSS 1 in its own station and transmits a beacon frame with the identification code BSSID different from each terminal STA after the subscription processing. The identification codes BSSID are assigned to base stations AP1, AP2,... in a wireless LAN so as not to be in duplicate in advance. When the terminal STA makes handover to the adjacent base station AP2, the base station AP2 transmits the beacon frame with the identification code BSSID corresponding to the terminal STA. Thus, the terminal STA can continue communication without the need for recognizing the movement from the wireless network BSS1 to a wireless network BSS2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
