PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reception control unit for remote control capable of precisely extracting a target signal from a remote control signal containing disturbance light noise. SOLUTION: Light received by a light receiving element (photoelectric conversion element) 11 is converted to an electric signal. The electric signal is converted to a digital electric signal speedily by an A/D converter 31. The digital electric signal is transmitted to an FFT processing means 41 for fast Fourier transform. More specifically, a frequency component is efficiently extracted from the digital electric signal. The amount of change in time (differential spectrum) is calculated to remove disturbance light 2 precisely. It is determined whether there are frequency components of a remote control signal 21 in the amount of change. A spectrograph 12 and a group of light receiving elements 13 (photoelectric conversion element) are provided instead of the light receiving element 11, and an input processing means 45 is provided instead of an FFT processing means 41, thus removing the disturbance light 2 precisely.
