Peptides which mimic the antigenic regions of the hepatitis A virus

The present invention describes the peptides obtained from a nonapeptide recombinant phage library which contains epitopes able to react with sera from convalescent patients of infection with hepatitis A virus (HAV). These selected amino acidic sequences not correlate with the sequences of codified proteins which conform the immunogenic and neutralizing regions of HAV. These peptides or its combinations could be useful in the antibodies detection against HAV in biological samples and for immunotherapy purposes.
