PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductivity manifestation method and a conductive member capable of obtaining high conductivity without the need of a baking process necessary in a conventional case, concerning a method of manifesting conductivity by utilizing metal ultrafine particles mainly formed of silver. SOLUTION: The method of manifesting conductivity in a metal-ultrafine particle containing part provided by imparting metal ultrafine particles mainly formed of silver dispersed in water and/or an organic solvent as a metal colloid on a base material makes at least a kind of a compound selected from sulfite, thiosulfate, thiocyanate, and chromate react with the metal-ultrafine particle containing part.
