<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a letterpress plate in which a photosensitive resin layer in a portion freed of a mask layer is not affected by oxygen in the air, and by which a letterpress plate having a good fine pattern can be obtained after development, with respect to a method for producing a letterpress plate from a multilayer laminate for producing a letterpress plate including a photosensitive resin layer and a mask layer. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a letterpress plate from a multilayer laminate for producing a letterpress plate obtained by laminating on (A) a support (B) a photosensitive resin layer and (C) a mask layer containing at least one infrared absorbing material in this order includes: a step of patterning the mask layer by selectively removing the mask layer with infrared laser light while leaving a residual film on the photosensitive resin layer; a step of exposing the photosensitive resin layer with ultraviolet radiation through the patterned mask layer; and a step of developing the exposed photosensitive resin layer while removing the mask layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
