PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diffusion combustion burner which turns a combustion gas into a swirl flow and which can heat a heating object uniformly.SOLUTION: The diffusion combustion burner, which is the diffusion combustion burner used as a heat source for a hydrogen manufacturing device and the like, defines a flame formation chamber for forming flames, and includes: a flame hole plate in which a plurality of air jetting holes for jetting air to the flame formation chamber are provided; a distributor for jetting a fuel to the flame formation chamber; a burner cylinder for forming an air flow passage for supplying air to the flame hole plates; a fuel pipe for supplying the fuel to the distributor; and swirl flow formation means for turning the air jetted from the air jetting holes of the flame hole plate into the flame formation chamber into a swirl flow.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
