PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately determine blowing abnormality of combustion-supporting gas without using furnace pressure.SOLUTION: Pulverized coal together with combustion-supporting gas is blown into a blast furnace 1 from a tuyere 3 via a blast tube 2 using the blast tube 2 connected to the tuyere 3 of the blast furnace 1 and a double-tube lance 4. When a blast pressure to the blast tube 2 is denoted as Pb, a pressure to a combustion-supporting gas flow path 4B is denoted as Px, a flow velocity to the blast tube 2 is denoted as Vb, a flow velocity to the combustion-supporting gas flow path 4B is denoted as Vx, and a deviation between a pressure loss difference (&Dgr;Pb-&Dgr;Px), which is a difference between a pressure loss &Dgr;Pb in the blast tube 2 obtained from the flow velocity Vb and a pressure loss &Dgr;Px in the combustion-supporting gas flow path 4B obtained from the flow velocity Vx, and a pressure difference (Pb-Px), which is a difference between the blast pressure Pb and the combustion-supporting gas pressure Px, is greater than a predetermined allowable pressure &Dgr;V, it is determined that blowing abnormality of the combustion-supporting gas occurs. |
