PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reception apparatus, a reception method and a transmission method which improves convenience for a user by determining whether or not a program being currently received or to be received in the future is a 3D program.SOLUTION: In a digital broadcasting with 3D video program contents and 2D video program contents mixed with each other, a transmission apparatus generates a digital signal obtained by multiplexing, scrambling, and modulating a video of a coded program content together with identification information to identify whether the program content is a 3D video program content or a 2D video program content, and transmits the generated digital signal as a digital broadcast signal. A reception apparatus receives the digital broadcast signal transmitted and determines whether the received program content is a 3D video program content or a 2D video program content on the basis of the identification information of the received program content. |
