PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regenerate an ion exchanger without using an acidic or alkaline chemical so that the time to be taken for the regeneration is shortened.SOLUTION: A pure water production system 1 including an electric device EDI2 for producing deionized water, in which device demineralized water is produced, is provided. The electric device EDI2 for producing deionized water has: a cathode and an anode which are opposed to each other; and a demineralization chamber which is formed from an ion exchange membrane between the cathode and the anode and in which the ion exchanger is packed. The pure water production system 1 furthermore includes means (a tank 3, a carbon dioxide gas cylinder 4, a second water supply line 6, a gas dissolution part 10, a gas injection line 11 and the like) for injecting carbon dioxide gas into the water to be supplied to the electric device EDI2 for producing deionized water.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
