This sleep inducing device is configured to control a stimulus application unit for applying a stimulus to a subject. The sleep inducing device acquires biorhythms of the subject, estimates the stage of sleep of the subject from the acquired biorhythms of the subject, and controls the stimulus application unit so that a stimulus is applied to the subject according to the acquired biorhythms and the estimated current stage of sleep of the subject.
