摘要 An energy recovery system in a principal cooling system, which includes a compressor for cooling refrigerant to be delivered to a space for cooling the space; a line for transporting the cool refrigerant from the compressor to the space; a canister positioned around at least a portion of the cool refrigerant line; a continuous circular pathway formed in the wall of the canister; a water/antifreeze fluid mixture entering the canister and flowing through the circular pathway within the canister around the wall of the cool refrigerant line to lower the temperature of the fluid flowing from the canister to a temperature equal to or near the temperature of the cool refrigerant line; a line for receiving the cooled fluid from the canister and flowing the fluid to cool air in a secondary coil to cool a second space not being cooled by the principal cooling system. The energy recovery system may also be used to introduce additional refrigerant into the principal cooling system to add additional cooling power to the system. In a second embodiment of the system, the cooling refrigerant would be delivered via an enlarged canister to encase a portion of the compressor, in order to cool down the compressor and have it run more efficiently. In a third embodiment, the enlarged canister would encase the outer wall of a tank, such as a transformer, and the refrigerant fluid would flow through the canister to receive heat from the transformer in order to increase the longevity of the transformer. In both the second and third embodiments, the heated fluid would then flow through a heat exchanger, such as a radiator, to cool the fluid before it is returned to the enlarged canister. The present invention also relates to the energy recovery system disclosed herein whereby multiple canister devices are utilized to cool water in a water fountain line and the high side and low side lines in an air conditioning system. The invention also provides a fixture positioned along the exhaust pipe of a heating system, such as for example, a hot water heater of the type known in the art, which utilizes a single or multiple fluid flow channels to heat fluid, such as water, flowing through the multiple fluid channels, so that the heated fluid, or steam, can deliver heat to a source from the heat in the heated fluid.
