PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic capacitor which can be manufactured inexpensively and exhibiting excellent heat dissipation properties. SOLUTION: The electrolytic capacitor 1 comprises a capacitor element 2 contained in an aluminium enclosure case 3 wherein the outer circumferential surface of the enclosure case 3 is coated with an insulation film 4. Preferably, the insulation film 4 is an anodic oxide film formed by surface treatment or an aluminium nitride film formed by surface nitriding.
