The present invention relates to an interface part for mounting a member such as an filler plate or a switch (2) in a platen opening of an automotive vehicle, wherein said part (3) is in the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped and comprises a bottom wall (30) having an outer so-called front face (303) that can be connected to said member (2) as well as a set of side walls (31, 32, 33, 34) defining parallel pairs and extending from the bottom wall (30) on the side of the inner so-called rear face thereof. The part is characterised in that two (31; 32) of said parallel side walls each include on their outer face at least one pair of elastic and securing detent members (310) provided in mating openings formed in the walls connected to said platen (1), in that a side wall (33) includes on the outer face thereof mounting locating means (330), and in that a side wall (31) comprises visual means (311) indicating the function of said associated member (2).
