PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installation method of a device by which re-roofing is performed on a roof while reducing cost, time and efforts, and a device such as a solar cell array can be installed on the roof, and to provide a re-roofing method of a roof by which re-roofing can be performed on the roof while reducing cost, time and efforts.SOLUTION: An installation method of a device S includes: a step (1) of removing an existing roof material 2c only from a specific roof surface 1c among a plurality of roof surfaces; a step (2) of spreading a new sheet-like substrate waterproof material 16 over the specific roof surface 1c; a step (3) of affixing end portions of the new sheet-like substrate waterproof material 16 by means of a waterproof tape 11; a step (4) of roofing the specific roof surface 1c with a specific roof material 12c corresponding to a bracket 20 for the device; a step (5) of covering a ridge part 1f between the specific roof surface 1c and an existing roof surface 1b with ridge enclosing metallic material 18 and fixing the metallic material; and a step (6) of mounting the device S onto the specific roof surface 1c via the bracket 20. |
