PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly check the age of a customer who is going to purchase an age limited article. SOLUTION: A self-checkout terminal is equipped with: a settlement terminal equipped with a commodity code input part and a scale device which measures a weight value of a commodity. When a commodity code is input from the commodity code input part, the self checkout terminal executes a commodity sales data input process for every transaction. The self checkout terminal acquires limitation information corresponding to the commodity code input from a limitation information data file which stores limitation information indicating whether or not a commodity has an age limit which is permitted to be sold to people satisfying age requirements in association with each commodity code, and determines whether the commodity has an age limit based on the acquired limitation information.
