The present invention relates to a manufacturing method of glycerol carbonate, which can easily synthesize glycerol carbonate under relatively moderate reaction conditions using, as a catalyst, ZIF-95 which is a porous inorganic coordination compound and is one of zeolitic imidazolate frameworks (ZIFs) including zinc. The catalyst used in the present invention is manufactured by a solvothermal synthesis method and is a porous catalyst with a regular and stable structure, thereby having excellent reactivity and stability in comparison with a conventional catalyst. Furthermore, the catalyst can synthesize glycerol carbonate at greatly high yield under relatively moderate reaction conditions in comparison with a different catalyst. The manufacturing method of glycerol carbonate comprises a step of performing the carbonylation of urea and glycerol using ZIF-95 as a catalyst under conditions of 130-160°C and 3.1-28.0 kPa for 4-8 hours. |
