The present invention relates to an antiviral composition containing a Gleditsia sinensis Lamarock extract. More specifically, the present invention relates to a composition contains a Gleditsia sinensis Lamarock extract inhibiting activity and proliferation of norovirus. According to the present invention, the antiviral composition containing the Gleditsia sinensis Lamarock extract as an active ingredient exhibits excellent activities of inhibiting norovirus causing food poisoning, and the extract is derived from natural substances, showing stability. Thus, the composition can be directly applied to various foods, drugs, and cooking utensils, minimizing frequency of consumers exposed to norovirus.
