PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide thick-skinned hollow ceramic particles capable, despite being an aggregate to be mixed with an artificial structure, of bestowing heat insulating effects onto the structure per se.SOLUTION: The provided thick-skinned hollow ceramic particles are made-of-ceramic hollow particles having outer diameters D of 7-20 mm, hollow diameters d of 3-12 mm, and skin thicknesses t of at least 2 mm. The static rupture strength and impact rupture strength of the hollow particles are respectively at least 2000 N and at least 40 N. Moreover, it is desirable for the bulk specific gravity thereof to be 0.5-2.0 and for the textural porosity of the ceramic forming the hollow particles to be 8% or less by the volume standard. |
