PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless key communication system for a vehicle that reduces influence of noise without any rise in cost resulting from complexity of a circuit.SOLUTION: A vehicle-side unit or portable machine is provided with a function (timing change determination part) by which a timing change determination part determines whether timing needs to be changed, and a function (timing change part) by which a measured value of a timer controlling timing of periodic output of a wake signal is reset and the timing of transmission of the wake signal is shifted. When the timing change determination part determines that the timing needs to be changed, the timing change part shifts the timing to timing different from the transmission timing determined according to a transmission period and the wake signal is transmitted. It is thereby avoidable that the wake signal is always disturbed continuously by noise having periodicity without changing a set value of the period of transmission of the wake signal by the vehicle-side unit. |
